The toymaker company, Lego A/S, has been preparing for the expansion of their Mexican factory in Monterrey. The factory opened in 2008 and is famous for its reliance on modern equipment and technology. They have installed more than 500 gravimetric mixing and dosing units and 1,500 Metro Loaders for the innovative Mexican factory.
The appearance of international trade and development by companies like Lego shows that Mexico is increasing their attractiveness on the economic global front.

Mexico Smart Grid Market to Reach $8.3 Million
“Mexico is well positioned to develop into a leading smart grid market, both in the Latin America region and globally.”
The Mexico Smart Grid Market Forecast that was released late last week by DC-based research and consulting firm Northeast Group, projects that the total market will reach at least $8.3 billion by the year 2020, trailing only Brazil in all of Latin America. This opportunity is represented largely by the smart metering market in Mexico, which plans to deploy more than 21 million smart meters by the end of this decade. In addition, areas of the market, such as distribution automation, wide area measurement and home energy management are expected to grow substantially over this period.

Plastics Industry to Expand Greatly before End of Year
Did you know that the plastics industry in Mexico has generated 15,000 new jobs in Mexico? Eduardo Martinez Hernandez, Chairman of the Mexican Association of Plastics Industry or Asociacion Nacional de Industrias del Plastico (ANIPAC), informed that businessmen in this sector are expecting a 9% growth in Mexico, among the highest in productive sectors.

Mexico's Booming Garment Manufacturing Industry
Did you know that not only is Mexico a leader in the automobile and aerospace engineering and manufacturing industries, but in the textile manufacturing business as well? According to data from Banxico (Banco de Mexico), the Mexican Chamber of Garments Industry, and Camara Nacional de la Industria del Vestido (Canaive), sales of clothing garments made in Mexico abroad are assisting national production levels from falling. Banxico’s data reveals that exports have started growing over the past 2 years; in the first half of 2010 they grew 5.3% and from January to June 2011 growth was 7.8%.
