Mexico Should Invest in Environmental Technology
Mexico is seeking funding to invest in environmental technology and make it a viable source of energy supply, given the potential that has been shown to have solar power.
The secretary of National Solar Energy Association (ANES), Fernando Aragón, said in a meeting with senior energy specialist from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Arnoldo Vieira de Carvalho that there should be more interest in creating affordable financing alternatives for various private sector clients and solar farm projects. The projects involve the renewal of air conditioning cooling, which currently represents 50 percent of electricity consumption.
